Unit One

I do not do a lot of writing in my daily life. The only time I write is when one of my teachers tells me to or when I’m at work and I have to write down peoples orders. I am a cashier at Bill Bateman’s in Rosedale. It is more of a carry out type of place and not so much of a eat in place. I am constantly picking up the phone and writing down food orders. I personally do not like writing, I think the reason I don’t like writing is because I don’t think that I’m a good writer. There are many reasons why people write and there are different purposes behind writing. The purpose for writing in school is to learn and to increase our education. The purpose for writing when I’m at work is so I don’t forget customers orders. So pretty much the purpose of writing is to learn and you write so you don’t forget important things.
One writing assignment I remember doing last year in my English 101 class was an assignment on our dream guy or girl. The reason I feel this assignment was interesting was because it made me realize that I am in love with my boyfriend Matt. Everything I want in my dream guy he is it. The assignment made me see that my boyfriend is my best friend, my soul mate, and that I am completely in love with him.
